Transforming Lives, Empowering Communities, Advancing God's Kingdom.

“We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us.” 2 Corinthians 5:20

Our Vision

Our vision is to see lives redeemed, leaders developed, communities transformed, and nations touched by the power of Jesus Christ. We are committed to building a ministry that stands as a beacon of faith, excellence, integrity, and compassion—bringing light where there is darkness, hope where there is despair, and opportunity where there is need.

Our vision scripture

"Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising."

Isaiah 60:1–3  (NKJV)

This is the scripture that anchors everything Christ Ambassador Ministries does. In Nemato and across the Eastern Cape, the darkness of poverty, hunger, and hopelessness is real — but it is not the final word. God calls His people to rise, to shine, and to be a visible demonstration of His glory in the very places that need it most. Every meal served on a Tuesday, every woman trained to sew, every young person mentored — these are acts of light. We do not serve out of our own strength, but out of the conviction that the glory of the Lord has risen upon us, and that light cannot be hidden.

Our mission

As Christ's ambassadors, we embrace the call to represent His Kingdom with courage, humility, and unwavering commitment, believing that every life reached is a life empowered to fulfil God's divine purpose.

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."
Joshua 1:9

about us

Christ Ambassador Ministries has been serving the Nemato township and Port Alfred area for over 31 years. What began as a tent revival in 1994 — drawing hundreds of residents and covered by the Kowie Announcer newspaper — has grown into a trusted community institution providing feeding, counselling, mentoring, and skills development to vulnerable families across the Eastern Cape.

Our ministry tagline — Ikhaya Labangcwele (The Home of the Holy) — reflects our belief that the church is not a building but a living community called to reflect Christ's love in tangible, practical ways every single day.

Community Feeding Scheme

Soup Kitchen

Every Tuesday and Friday, Christ Ambassador Ministries opens its doors to provide free, nutritious meals to youth, unemployed adults, senior citizens, and vulnerable families in the Nemato community. What began as a simple act of compassion has grown into a vital lifeline for many households facing economic hardship and food insecurity.

The need continues to increase as rising unemployment, poverty, and the cost of living place growing pressure on families throughout our community. On average, we serve more than 200 meals each week, and the number of people seeking assistance continues to grow. For many who attend, these meals are not merely a supplement to their diet—they are often the only substantial meal they will receive that day.

Beyond addressing immediate hunger, our feeding programme creates a space where individuals are treated with dignity, welcomed into a caring community, and connected to additional support where needed. It serves as a point of contact through which people can access encouragement, counselling, mentorship, and other community development initiatives offered by the ministry.

We believe that no person should have to face hunger alone. Through the faithful support of volunteers, donors, and community partners, we continue to provide nourishment and hope to those in need. However, the growing demand highlights the ongoing challenge of food insecurity in our area and underscores the importance of sustaining and expanding this programme so that we can continue serving the most vulnerable members of our community.

For many families, a warm meal represents more than food—it is a reminder that they are seen, valued, and not forgotten.

Women's Net

Empowering Women, strengthening Communities

Women’s Net is a transformative empowerment initiative dedicated to advancing the social, economic, educational, and personal development of women and girls. We recognise that many women continue to face barriers created by poverty, inequality, limited access to resources, gender-based discrimination, and exclusion from decision-making opportunities. Our mission is to create platforms that amplify women's voices, build capacity, unlock opportunities, and empower women to become agents of change within their families, communities, and society.

Table Talk Discussions

Talk Show Discussions provide a safe and inclusive platform where women can engage in open, meaningful conversations about issues affecting their lives and communities. These discussions address topics such as leadership, entrepreneurship, education, health and wellness, financial literacy, family development, gender equality, and social justice.

By creating spaces where women can share experiences, learn from experts, and exchange ideas, these discussions help build confidence, encourage civic participation, and strengthen networks of support. They also challenge harmful stereotypes and contribute to a culture where women’s perspectives and contributions are valued and respected.

Through informed dialogue, participants gain knowledge, inspiration, and practical strategies for overcoming challenges and pursuing personal and professional growth.
